Brazilian Composer Aldo Moraes



Aldo Moraes is a musician and composer, born in Brazil in 1970.

He studied guitar, composition, harmony and counterpoint with teachers Hans Joachim Koellreuter in 1991/93 in São Paulo / SP, José Eduardo Gramann also in São Paulo / SP and done workshops with: Nana Vasconcelos, Arrigo Barnabé, Guinga, Nei Carrasco Roberto Gnatalli, Gerard Behague, Oilian Lanna and Jusamara Souza.
         
     Moraes instrumental works presented in Brazil, Austria, Switzerland, Spain, Italy, France and Argentina.Participou the Biennale of Contemporary Music in Rio in 1995 and the Seventh Meeting of Latin American Composers in 2001.

  He made ​​incidental tracks for documentaries and radio soap opera on Radio Brasileira, in Bela Vista do Paraiso, PR, Brazil, and in 1998 he composed the original score for play "Masks" (chamber ensemble) in the assembly of Frigg Theatre, directed Gilvânia by Rodrigues, 1997 (Londrina / PR).

In December 2007 was carried out Aldo Moraes night with the composer's works at the Cultural Alliance in Portugal and March/08, Moraes scored the play "When I die, who will cry for me? " theatral work of Valdir Rodrigues, part premiered in several countries in Europe.

Moraes envisioned the Cultural Arts and Brazil in 1998 he created the social program "Batuque na caixa" that met in 1999 to 2010, 5.400 students with free cultural workshops in poor neighborhoods.
